- Inger Bull, Ph.D.Dr. Inger Bull is in her 12th year as Director of International Education at Nebraska Wesleyan. She works with international students who study at NWU, U.S. students who study abroad, and faculty who lead student trips abroad. She is an Assistant Professor of Global Studies and teaches two classes, "Preparing for Education Abroad" for students before they go overseas, and "Processing the Experience Abroad" for students after they've returned from abroad. She has studied abroad herself for two years, one year at the University of Plymouth, England in 1991-92 and one year as a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar at the University of Queensland, Australia in 1995. She has led student groups to Australia, Mexico, Spain, and Swaziland and has traveled throughout Europe, Japan, and Peru. Most recently she lived in Stockholm during 2009 while on a leave of absence. She received her doctorate in Higher Education Administration in 1996 from the University of Nebraska.
- Amy Bass Henry Amy Bass Henry is Executive Director of International Education at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Amy has worked in international education for 16 years, with most of that time at Georgia Tech focused on study abroad for engineering students. In her current role, Amy leads the office that serves Georgia Tech's nearly 4,000 international students and scholars, 1,100 study abroad students, and collaborates with faculty on innovative programs and initiatives such as the International Plan, which won the 2010 Heiskell Award.
- Bruce La Brack, Ph.D.Dr. Bruce La Brack, a cultural anthropologist and South Asian specialist, is Professor Emeritus of Anthropology and International Studies, University of the Pacific. For over three decades he headed Pacific's integrated orientation and reentry programs for study abroad. He also served as Director of the Pacific Institute for Cross Cultural Training and Chair of the Master of Arts in Intercultural Relations Program. He has published extensively on culture adjustment issues and consults regularly on cultural competency issues related to international educational exchange. He was co-editor of the Training Section of the International Journal ofIntercultural Relations and is a senior faculty member at the Summer Institute of Intercultural Communication. - DeDe Long Director of Study Abroad and International Exchange, University of Arkansas. Director Long has more than 25 years of experience in the field of international education at the University of Arkansas, where she has been actively engaged in all facets of the campus internationalization process. Over the years, she developed new positions in international student advising, international admissions, sponsored students, international agricultural development and in 1993, was asked to establish the Office of Study Abroad and International Exchange. She is an active member of several professional organizations and is currently serving on the NAFSA Board of Directors as the Vice President for Public Policy and Practice.
- Brett McCormick, Ph.D. Dr. McCormick is the Director of Global Studies at the University of New Haven. He received his Ph.D. and M.A. from Cornell University, and his B.A. from SUNY Stony Brook. In addition to his work in International Education pedagogy, he has a wide range of expertise in East Asian History, International Relations, Diplomacy, and Political Science. He worked in the People’s Republic of China during the early-mid 1990s, and regularly travels throughout East Asia conducting field research. Dr. McCormick is also the Director of the East Asia Security Symposium, conducted annually at the China Foreign Affairs University in Beijing.
- Jon Stauff, Ph.D.Dr. Stauff is Director of the Center for Global Engagement at The College of New Jersey. A modern European historian, he has over 15 years of experience in various aspects of international education administration. He has developed short and long-term study abroad programs throughout Europe, Latin America, and the Asia/Pacific Rim for undergraduate and graduate students and managed all education abroad operations. He has received funding for a number of initiatives from the German Academic Exchange Service, several Fulbright programs, and the U.S. Department of Education, Business and International Education Program.
- Susan ThompsonDirector of International Programs, University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Director Thompson has worked in international education since 1990. She is currently serving as the Vice President for Member Relations on NAFSA’s Board of Directors. She is also a member of the Board of Directors of the University Studies Abroad Consortium. From 2002-2009 she was a member of the Academic Consortium Board of the Council on International Educational Exchange. Her past NAFSA service includes: Chair, Subcommittee on Information Management (SIM); Education Abroad representative to SIM; Chair, Education Abroad Awards Committee; and five years on the Region XII team. She is also a member of the Editorial Board of the International Educator Magazine.
